The Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits (RICE) is a nationwide activity conducted in different regions to highlight the role of the Filipino inventors in Philippine society and in the context of national economic development. The Invention Contest encourages inventors to use their inventive capability while competing for prestige and cash awards. The Regional Invention Contest serves as the qualifying round for the National Invention Contest, pursuant to Section 4 of the Republic Act No. 7459, also known as “Inventors and Invention Incentives Act of the Philippines”.

The Regional Invention Contest is a competition open for both the public and private sector inventors and researchers within the Region. DOST Showcases Solutions to UN Sustainable Development Goals in Science Fair

This year’s exhibit of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in celebration of the 2019 National Science and Technology Week will be especially relevant as the country transitions into what has been termed as the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Scheduled to be held on July 17 to 21, 2019 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, the 2019 NSTW carries the theme “Enabling Technologies for Sustainable Development”, and will showcase how science and technology is addressing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which aim to end global poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all. K-Christmas Party!

Every year, people attend all sorts of Christmas parties. There is this costume party that requires you to, of course, go in a costume depending on the theme, such as “Paskong Pinoy” or the Filipino-themed party, Back to the 60’s, 70’s, etc. There is also this simple dinner party and the concert party.

2018 Goals

This past couple of years, I have experienced something a little different than the past years. I’ve been stuck at home as a home-based language coach and as I have said in my story, it’s rather boring and I feel like I am not growing.

In the latter part of this year 2017, I have realized that I should wisely make use of the time that I have. I have a hold of my schedule and I think that through that, I can maximize the skills that I have and learn something else.
